JGMP : DIDGERIDOO GALLERY
page 4 - Eucalyptus Didgeridoos from Arnhem Land, NT, AUSTRALIA
AUTHENTIC YIDAKI SOLD HERE! These are the same quality of musical instruments as hear on field recordings from this region in Australia and used by the rock band Yothu Yindi.
Don't be fooled by people using the term yidaki vaguely to describe just any didgeridoo. Yidaki is the term for didgeridoos of NE Arnhem Land, not didgeridoos from other parts of Australia.
Yidaki's from Arnhem Land, Northern Territory of Australia. Where didgeridoo making and playing all began thousands of years ago.

Comments: Made by one of NE Arnhem Lands noted yidaki makers Gurraramawuy. Very unique playing style to
this NE Arnhem Land yidaki. Not your typical NE Arnhem stick. It plays with a very wide  full tone that can really
create a ruckus especially if you like to play with an aggressive playing style. The artwork is beautiful featuring
Barramundi fish decorate this room shaking big yidaki. It packs a punch of powerhouse sound that rocks! Be
careful where you point this one when playing it!

Comments: Thick walled,  small mouthpiece opening. Really nice conical taper inside from small mouthpiece
to a beautiful flared bell end. If you love smaller mouthpiece yidaki this should fit you well. Lots of power and
drive from this fantastic stick.

Good solid player, plays a high F drone. A nice little yi
daki at a great value. If you like to play aggressively,
ripping along on this one will be a fun blow. Lillies decorate the bottom of the yi

REMARKS: : This one flares out quite rapidly in its shape from the smaller mouthpiece end to the cavernous

Easy to play yi
daki. Another great musical instrument here at an affordable price.
Order #: A5172 - ATTENTION: Performers & Sound Healers! RARE LIGHTWEIGHT!!! YIDAKI BY DJALU

  • Skill Level: BEGINNER to ADVANCED
  • Eucalyptus: Stringybark

  • Length: 63.5"
  • Mouthpiece Opening: 1.25"
  • Bell End: 4.5"

  • Drone Note: C#
  • 1st Overtone: F
  • 2nd Overtone: C#
REMARKS: Made by Djalu and his wife Dopiya. If you are fimiliar with Djalu's yidaki, he rarely crafts them as
lightweight as this one is. Amazingly lightweight for its size very thin walled bell. Plays with an extremely easy
live and very resonant tone. This would be a great beginners instrument if you are wanting a Djalu yi
daki from
the get go and not fussing around with anything else. If you like agave style didges you may find this one
appealing to you as well. For advance players, what more can I say it's a great one get it! Especially if you are
looking for a core C# drone tone.

Very conical in shape. One of the thickest walled instruments I've seen at the bell end. Smaller 1.125
mouthpiece opening. Has a great focus and feel to it when played.  Another excellent value here.
